The Magnificent opetinho is a small and beautiful Brazilian bird that decides to travel to discover the much talked about Amazon. Arriving there, he is enchanted by the exuberant nature of the largest tropical forest in the world, makes friends, such as local birds and the pink dolphin, an endangered animal and character in an Amazonian legend, witnesses an act of deforestation and lives many adventures, until he felt homesick and returned to tell his jaguar friend the details of his trip. The book, aimed at children and young people aged 7 to 12, is the result of research by journalist and bird watcher Cristina Rappa, and her fifth book that has birds as characters.
Magnífico é um pequeno e lindo pássaro brasileiro que decide viajar para conhecer a tão falada Amazônia. Chegando lá, encanta-se com a natureza exuberante da maior floresta tropical do mundo, faz amigos, como aves locais e o boto-cor-de-rosa, um animal ameaçado e personagem de uma lenda amazônica, presencia um ato de desmatamento e vive muitas aventuras, até sentir saudades de casa e voltar para contar detalhes da viagem à sua amiga onça pintada. O livro, destinado a crianças e jovens de 7 a 12 anos, é fruto das pesquisas da jornalista e observadora de aves Cristina Rappa, e seu quinto livro que tem aves como personagens.
